Is it painful?
No, it is not painful. However, some people experience some slight discomfort while hardened, compacted waste is being released through a restricted area of the bowel. Follow-up treatments are less uncomfortable.
I have a great imagination and was quite worried about what I was in for, but knew this is what I needed to do to keep my Gall Bladder. To my relief it wasn’t scary or gross like I had imagined, it was all very clean and professional and I did not feel uncomfortable. read more from testimonial
What system do you use?
The system I use is a Closed System, meaning that everything is contained within the hoses, therefore there is no smell or mess. The machine used is a Dotola from the States. The treatment uses purified water to stimulate the colon to defecate naturally.
The effect of hydrating and moistening the bowel is to dislodge hardened old faecal matter leaving you feeling lighter and with regained energy. There are many more benefits once the bowel is cleansed that will ultimately benefit the entire body and mind as well.
Can I have a colonic while I have my period?
Yes, as this will not interfere with your cycle, in fact it may help you clear more toxins from your body. If however, you experience heavy periods then you may prefer to wait until it has finished.
Why Should I consider a Colon Hydrotherapy treatment?
Are you tired, lacking in energy, generally feeling unwell. We take in toxins from the air and chemical additives with our food which put a strain on our body systems. These can be harmful and hard to eliminate therefore by doing a series of colonic treatments, we can relieve the potential burden on the body. Colon Hyderotherapy can help release compacted waste caused by toxins and poorly digested food.
How can I expect to feel after the Colon Hydrotherapy session?
General comments are of feeling lighter, more energetic, more regular and better formed bowel motions, relief from flatulence, constipation and bloating and reduced appetite.
What is the method of procedure for a Colon Hydrotherapy treatment?
As a new client you will be asked to fill out a form stating your health history. You will change into a gown and lie on the bed. A speculum is gently inserted into the rectum with inlet and outlet hose attached. You will feel a warm sensation in the abdomen as water enters the bowel and as you start to feel full and the need to release then the waste is released leaving the bowel. Your therapist will be with you through the entire session regulating this process with you. No mess or smell. The process is completely private and dignified as you are covered with a sheet throughout.
